My wife and I decided that our four year old could use some practice with lacing and tying shoes. We also thought that it would be beneficial for him to master the technique of buttoning and unbuttoning. I found this book on Amazon that appeared to have everything that we needed to help him. We thought about how cool it would be to take it to church and it would keep him quiet and be good practice at the same time.
Well the book came and it was adorable. It has the buttons, the lacing and tying page, the zipper page, and a couple other pages (color matching, "count the wheels on the train") that are more suited for a 2 year old.
Here's the problem... this book was $30 plus another $8 shipping. It's a total rip-off. My advice is to get a pair of scissors and make your own activity bag to take to church (or wherever). Yes, the book is cute. However, it's only worth about $10... maybe.
