Summary: PLEASE SAVE YOUR MONEY!!!!!! 2010-08-03
Comment: I gave this one star, b/c:
The amount of money you waste buying this vs the quality of the product-
and
bc I contacted the company with my concerns and they blew me off.
Now they will get a one star review from me. Here is the problem:
Hello,
3 months ago I purchased a brand new ju-ju be packable in purple paisley. We are not poor, but we are not rich either. This bag was a splurge, but I convinced myself and my husband that even though it was way out of budget for us, it would be worth it. After all, I am always on the go and I have two children. It seemed logical.
Well, I am very disappointed. I bought this not only b/c of the 'quality' but specifically b/c it was a backpack. I prefer backpacks over any other type of bag. I was very thrilled to discover the packable. But it really does not live up to its reputation. The bag constantly is sagging, even when I readjust the straps to be tighter. I almost never carry filled up bottles, b/c the bag will sag so much it looks embarrassing. When I do add bottles to the side insulated bottle pockets, the bottles will fall out constantly throughout the day. This is because the bag does not hold it's shape. When I adjust the bag tighter, I end up with the metal strap pieces directly in my arm pits. The straps are way too thin to support a back pack. Not to mention, how annoying it is that the padded strap piece is constantly rubbing against the back of my neck. And why doesn't it lock up somehow so that if when in back pack mode, you can just grab the top padded strap to put it on? If you do that, all of the slack from the straps will go loose, and you then have to pull them back before putting it on.
Aside from the too thin uncomfortable straps, I have owned 3 other diaper bags, and no other changing pad retains stains as much as this one! Don't get me wrong, I love the padding, and my baby never seems to get upset when on the pad. But when I wipe it down gently, any moisture gets absorbed into the pads surface and stains it. My changing pad is filled with awful water marks. I finally had to just wet the whole thing, essentially 'staining' the whole thing so that the individual stains would not show. Again, very disappointing quality for a $120 bag.
Then there are the magnets. I think they should try to find a way to make it so that the magnetic pull is not emitted from the outside pocket. I live in a busy area, and my car is parked daily in a parking lot, and every single time I get out of the car and put the backpack on my back, the magnets will quickly attach themselves to the car next to me with a loud clinking sound. I have to constantly pull them off. Every day. Every time I park. Because they are so strong and stick so well, the have picked up dirt from each car they stick to, and now black dirt rings have formed on the outside pockets over where the magnets are.
I want to point out that I do not over/under stuff the bag. I don't do any crazy things with it, just basic everyday duties. I also have tried all the variations of adjustments with the straps and positioning of items in the bag.
In all, I am really pissed that I spent so much money on this disappointing bag. I feel duped. I do appreciate that when creating this product, ju-ju be was innovative and used adorable patterns and fashionable styling. But thats about it. I am will not recommend this bag to anyone after my experience. It was a bummer, because I read allot of good reviews on the bag before buying. Maybe these people posted their reviews as soon as they got the bag. I don't know. For me, after a few months, it's not looking so great.
DO NOT WASTE YOUR MONEY. Seriously. $120 is $120. That is allot of money for a sagging, uncomfortable bag that stains easily.

Summary: JU JU BE CHERRY LEMONADE..YUM! DIAPER BAG 2010-06-12
Comment: Bought this for my daughter, & she says it's the BEST diaper bag EVER!! Got the Cherry Lemonade, & it's absolutely adorable, too = Functional + adorable = SUCCESS!! I did exhaustive/exhausting research & comparisons before deciding on this one, knowing nada about "today's" baby items, & it appears my research was RIGHT ON!!

Summary: worth the money if you are hard on bags 2010-04-09
Comment: Beautiful, functional, VERY well-made and sturdy. I would definitely buy again. The only negative thing about this bag is the magnets that hold the pockets closed are quite strong -- sometimes they grab onto cars and other metal things as you are walking by! But I am used to it now. I am in love with this bag!! The diaper case and stroller clips are also awesome.

Summary: Decent diaper bag 2010-02-27
Comment: I really wanted to *love* this diaper bag but I think I only like it. It is a good size and easy to clean, and is not uncomfortable to wear. Things do seem to get lost in the bottom of the big part (the black hole syndrome I guess)and when carrying the back like a backpack and it is not completely full, the bag seems to fold in half. It's not a big deal but annoying to me. The front pockets are also not the easiest to get into. Overall though it's ok but not worth the price to me.
