Skip Hop City Chic Diaper Tote - Columbus Circle

Comment: I've had my City Chic bag for six months now, with daily use. LOVE the design! It holds all the stuff I need for a 4-year-old and 1-year-old, with my things in the front purse to snap off when they are at Grandma's or in the church nursery for an hour. The handles are a perfect length to use either in my hand or on my shoulder. The side pockets hold everything from my water bottles to various sippy cups. Have I mentioned I LOVE the design? (Other people do too -- I get tons of compliments!)

But... I'm SO disappointed in the quality of this bag! The lining around the snap fastener in the changing pad pocket bears the brunt of the bag's weight, and it tore after using it only 2 months. To be fair, Skip Hop did replace the bag with no fuss. Unfortunately, it's happening again (and this time I've been really careful to open it gently, etc.) What's more annoying is that one of the snaps holding the purse on has stopped "snapping". I now have the purse snapped on by the stroller attachment hooks to keep it from falling off as soon as I bump into something.

Honestly, I do love this bag, but for the price, it should outlast my kids' diaper years, not the other way around. I wouldn't buy another Skip Hop bag in the future.

UPDATE... Skip Hop sent me yet another replacement bag without a fuss (I definitely appreciate that they stand behind this product!). Before using it, I took it to a shoe repair place and had them stitch around the magnetic clasp, all the way through the bag and its lining. For $6 it feels MUCH sturdier and hopefully will now last as it should!

Comment: The fabric of this bag isn't really that durable. The print is really nice. The leather corners break to easyly.

The general look & construction is good, but the handles and zipper look like they belong on a knockoff product. Handles are of cheap woven nylon that don't fit with the overall stylish look (and pricetag). And the zipper is a made of sharp metal that catches and rips anything that gets caught in it. It also sticks very easily on its own. Why did they not use a good quality plastic zipper like you find on knapsacks and luggage? Also the zipper does not completely close the top of the bag #look closely at the photo - I only noticed it later). This means that snow/rain/sand can get in at the ends - what's the point of carrying a change of clothes if those can get wet or dirty too?
I am disappointed in this bag. It looks great from far, but too many sacrifices in quality were made for the price -I will be returning it.

Comment: I've had the bag for a month and I just love it! I really like the stroller straps and the many small compartments inside prevent things from becoming disorganized. It's also a good size

I bought this bag for my wife for her birthday and she loves it. Skip Hop makes the best bags. Do yourself a favor and purchase this bag for the woman in your life.
