Summary: Perfect for my husband and me! 2010-03-07
Comment: I spent many hours looking at diaper bags in stores and found that they were either brown, or they looked like a purse. I wanted a diaper bag that my husband wouldn't mind toting around. Then I found this one, we purchased it in charcoal. It is very sleek looking and doesn't look bad on me or him. I am very pleased with all the pockets, and space. I also like that instead of putting it in the basket underneath my stroller which I reserve for blankets and other bulkier items; I am able to clip it to the stroller handles. This will also come in handy when I use it on my umbrella stroller which has no underneath basket. I am very pleased and wouldn't buy anything else!

Comment: Just a tad smaller than expected. We are trying to get use to it.

Summary: Looks are misleading 2010-02-01
Comment: I ordered this diaper bag because I wanted a stylish bag that both me and my husband could tote around. It looks bigger online and I don't know how people are able to fit everything they need for a newborn baby in this. I couldn't fit everything we needed to. There are a lot of pockets but when you have the main compartment full, its very hard to access them. Very thin and doesn't open up very big. I couldn't even fit the tiny cooler that carries the breast milk in it. My hands would already be full carrying a carrier and a diaper bag. The less things needed additionally the better. I returned it after two days of it hanging in the closet. For the price its definitely not worth it. its almost like a laptop case/carrier with compartments for a calc. pens/pencils and a notebook! Better use for a collage student!

Summary: Good for the price I paid... 2010-01-15
Comment: I got this on sale super cheap (otherwise I wouldn't have purchased it), so I didn't judge its shortcomings as harshly as I might have had I paid full price. It is a well-made, sturdy and attractive bag. The little straps that allow it to attach to the handle bars of the stroller are fantastic and the only reason that I use this bag as much as I do.
Now, this isn't a bag I could use to take to the daycare everyday with all the accutrements required for such a trip. Like others have said, this bag may have pockets gallore, but you can only use a few at a time. There is no way this would hold 4 bottles, 2 outfits, various medicines and creams, and all the other myriad things I pack in my big bag each day. Initially, my thought was that I would never use this bag for that very reason.
But for trips to the mall, out to eat, or just to run an errand or two, this bag does the job. Like I said, it's very handy the way it can clip on to the stroller so that you don't lose the valuable space beneath the seat. I rarely carry the bag on my shoulder so I can't speak to the comfort or ease of carrying (and you can't fill it very full, so I don't know how comfortable it would be if it was heavy with "stuff"). I have also never used the changing pad that came with it (I have my own that I use).
Bottom line: don't pay full price for this bag if you intend to feel like you're getting your money's worth. If you can get it at a reasonable price, go for it--you'll like it if you use a stroller fairly regularly.

Summary: Pros: Cute, Spacious Cons: Does not wear well 2009-12-14
Comment: I consider a diaper bag an investment and don't mind spending a little bit more on a bag. My diaper bag doubled as my purse until my daughter potty trained at 2.5, so it had to hold a lot. I have found that some women are minimalists and prefer a small bag that holds a couple of diapers and wipes; I am the opposite. I want a bag that will hold enough diapers for a day's outing (and I use cloth, which can be bulky), plus I keep sippies, snacks, a book for me to read, my keys, wallet, phone, etc. I found that the SkipHop met my needs with regards to size. I also loved the look of it (we had Uptown Stripe) and found it comfortable to wear on my shoulder or slung across my body, even when I was also wearing my baby in a carrier on my front or back. The major downside about this bag is that it does not wear well. I found that the outer shell stained easily, and as others posted, I saw more fraying and wear along the seams than I expected in a short amount of time. It did not respond well to spot cleaning or machine washing (machine washing did not damage the bag at all, but it didn't improve the stain situation). After a while the whole thing started to look dingy to me, and I used it for less than a year and a half. I am pregnant with my second child and am in the market for another bag, but will not consider a SkipHop because of this experience.
